A Poem for To-night
On some nights,
I go to bed,
Praying the Lord,
May I never wake up again!
In the world,
That appears and disappears,
Again and again,
Retrieves 'reality'
Again and again,
Casts upon me,
The illusion of,
Its having,
A separate and independent,
Existence,
Other from me.
May I never wake up again,
Into that apparent 'reality',
That keeps 'The Realty'
Away from my sight,
May I be with You,
In You and as You,
O Lord,
While my sense of being a person,
Is lost,
Irrevocably, irretrievably,
May I never wake up again,
As this person,
O My Lord!
