Tragedy of Life.

The Tragedy of Life.
--
When we are born and alive,
Life emerges out from within,
Comes face to face with the Life,
Beyond us,
And though both are the two faces of,
The one and the same life,
The one 'within' and the other begin a play.
This inter-play unfolds and develops into,
A play of images in the mirror,
That too is life only.
While all such images are life only,
Each and every image assumes it-self,
As an individual,
And the rest as the 'world'.
When we are born and alive,
This image,
-The individual,
Is afraid of death,
Though the life that is the image in 'us',
Never died, nor knew death.
For this simple reason,
That having died,
One can not know death,
And without dying,
How can one know it?
But the individual keeps waking-up,
And going to sleep again and again,
As a 'person' in a world,
That is life only.
And though there is no such 'world',
As is assumed by the individual,
In his / her imaginations,
And in memory of perceptions,
Which one weaves into a fine screen,
Full of myriad colors and figures,
Of patterns and designs,
One somehow mistakes that self-created world,
Of one's memory,
-as true,
And forgets,
How he / she himself projected,
Such a world.
When this 'world' begins to fade away,
One mistakes this to be,
'the death' of oneself.
When we are born and alive,
In fact there exists no such world,
For it never was,
Neither could ever be.
Tragedy of life is not Death,
Or a wish which cannot be fulfilled .....,
And neither,
the tragedy of life is ....,
That we die inside of us while we live !!
The only tragedy is,
When we forget and don't see,
We were never born and we never die!

It is still a fact,...

It is still a fact,

It is still a fact,
That we never,
Stand to the fact.
And just because,
We don't see the fact,
We hardly know the fact.
As soon as,
The fact emerges before us,
Sheds its clothes and stands naked before us,
At once we dress it up in the cloak of a comment.
We don't let it say a word.
And though it speaks not in words,
And though has
nothing to hide,
Reveals its form,
As of the shadow of the Reality,
It is ever the light of.
And if we can but keep silent for the moment,
It returns to that Reality,
Taking us too in its stride.
--
And though,
The Reality is never old or new,
The fact, never old,
Ever so new.
As Reality,
The fact too,
Is never one,
Nor is many.
But our comment, at once dissects it,
Into many,
Into countless,
Into innumerable.

--
Is not this strange,
How the fiction,
Readily turns the fact,
Into a world full of chaos and strife?
While looking silently the fact,
Lets it take us to the Reality,
Beyond and prior to the Reality,
We are the light of??

'Meditation' on 'Brahman'

गौमेधम् यज्ञम् मुनयः
राजर्षयः अश्वमेधम् |
मेधितया मेधितव्यान्
यज्ञान् ब्राह्मणैः सर्वैः ||

gaumedhaM yajnaM munayaH
rAjarShayaH ashvamedhaM |
medhitayaa medhitavyaan.
yajnaan. brahmaNai sarvaiH ||
--
Meaning :
Some ascetics perform sacrifice by means of meditating upon the Reality (Brahman.) by means of contemplating upon the consciousness of the cow, while others 'Arya' sages born of the Royal race, by means of contemplating upon the consciousness of the horse.
Note :
1 - 'Meditation' in Sanskrit comes from the word 'medhA' / 'medhitA' meaning contemplation.
Shrimadbhagavadgita Chapter 5 shloka 18 also tells about this.

2 - Aitareya- upaniShat also explains how to know Brahman by 'neti-neti' and 'iti-iti' in the  Chapter 1, section 2, mantra 2.

'tAbhyo gAmAnayattA abruvanna vai no'yamalamiti tAbhyo'shvamAnayattA abruvanna vai no'yamalamiti'
 (ऐतरेय-उपनिषद् / अध्याय 1, खण्ड 2, मंत्र 2 के अनुसार ताभ्यो गामानयत्ता अब्रुवन्न वै नोऽयमलमिति ताभ्योऽश्वमानयत्ता अब्रुवन्न वै नोऽयमलमिति)

अन्याः मिश्रितकर्मिणः
अशुचयः मलिनमतयः |
नरमेधमनुयुञ्ज्यन्ते
नरकाय वै ते नराः ||
--
anyAH mishritkarmiNaH
ashuchayaH malinamatayaH |
naramedhamanuyujyante
narakAya vai te narAH ||
--
Meaning :
On the other hand, those of impure mind and mixed-intellect, engage into violence against and killing the humans. Such people, by their such sinful actions fall into hell only.
