The Only Challenge

The humankind is facing many a challenges at this time and no one is sure how we as a whole could resolve and overcome these challenges.

But if looked carefully, we may uninamously agree that the only challenge that should be dealt with is :

How to restore the balance of human population in comparison proportionately with the other living creatures over the globe.

We can't ever think of achieving this goal by means of war, disease, or through applying the  ways of birth-control.

If we don't meet this challenge on our own, we are bound to fall prone to the whims of nature.

Nature takes its own recourse, in its own ways.

It's true we may reconsider the ways through penance and austerities that is observed by the ascetics. Only those, who look this as the only practical option for the future of the mankind would follow this spiritual discipline for their own ultimate benefit, however the same is also equally true for all others as well.

All and everyone can see that the resources at our hands are enough for living the human life with peace and in harmony, if we are not after grabbing and hoarding the things which we don't need.

This may be the only INTELLIGENCE that we may come across.

And no politician, scientist or organised religion is perhaps going to help you in reaching this INTELLIGENCE.

The Green!

That butterfly was green!

The one that I had seen!

Trying to find out food,

On the heap of garbage,

Fluttering wings stopped for a second

Caught in the cam my, but in the next moment,

Lo and behold the beauty,

The one that I had seen,

The one that transcends the ugly,

The hurry that was but green!

Apropos to,

The Last Post :

Serendipitously, I chanced upon what I had commented upon my own very old post :

Consciousness part-1.

Dated : May 25, 2010 at 12:21 A. M.

THE COMMENT VERBATIM IS AS FOLLOWS:

All concepts are always very complex and a wastage of time.

Consciousness is not a concept but the Reality,  which is 'Subjective' at one end and 'Objective' at the (an)other.

If we (can) see everything as 'Energy',  then again, the 'consciousness' of the 'Energy' is prior to 'Energy'.

I am not dwelling in (the) conceptual.

--

This may relate to my yet another observation that I wrote in my post in my swaadhyaaya blog today only.

There I stated that from the smallest to the biggest, all and everything are endowed with kind of the same awareness / 'consciousness', that pervades the whole existence at all levels.

This means,

The Quantum Principle is a phenomenon which is another aspect of 'consciousness' only.

Subsequently, a quantum particle itself is at one end the 'Objective Reality' and on the another the 'Subjective Reality' as well.

This sums up how we can enter the threshold of the Reality of the Spiritual kind.

Wendi Donigar and Audrey Truschke

Selective Amnesia.

--------------------------------

There was this translator who had written a book about India,  and was published and subsequently taken back by penguin publishers.

Now there is yet another Audrey Truschke!

Looks like she is an authority on MAHABHARATA!

Without being irritated an Indian can just laugh out!

No one can ever change the world.

Because your world resides in your mind only.

Neither you can change your mind or yourself!

That is such an absurd ridiculous idea!

Meanwhile the nature is taking its own course.

Doesn't know, care or worry for anyone how-so-ever great,  big or small.

And lately, the physicists are pondering over the premise:

"Objective Reality does not exist!"

Frontiers of Knowledge.

ज्ञा > जानाति, meaning 'to know' in Sanskrit, is the verb-root which turns into

"knowledge" and "knowing".

"knowledge" is memory and information encoded in the framework of "thought" / words,  while "knowing" is "wisdom" which has the verb-root विद् > विद्यते, वेत्ति, विन्दते, वेदयति,

which respectively means :

exists, knows, gains / finds, and learns.

Again, the word 'find' (German > 'finden') is cognate (सज्ञात,सजाति) of the Sanskrit word :

अवग्रहण / ग्रहण

Respectively.

I always loved reading, going through the blogs about the latest developments in :

Science, Medicine, Mathematics, Psychology, and the contemporary and ancient religion.

Yesterday I came across these posts :

1. 5 Reasons Why I left the AI...

(Alberto Romero, -

2. bacteria 'shuffle' their genetics ...

(Celia Souque, - April 7, 2021

3. Mathematics as Team Sport

-March 31, 2020,

4. New Research documents the...

(Timothy W Jones -

April 07, 2021, the conversation-com)

This is just a brief account of what kind of topics I like to go through, while on the net.

Because of so many reasons I'm just unable to have and afford a computer of my own.

So far, I always noted these and other such present latest developments are far behind the way Veda and Vedanta deal with various aspects of knowledge,  knowing and wisdom, even what we think is "INTELLIGENCE".

पतञ्जलि clearly and concisely defines "THOUGHT" as  "वृत्ति",

which loosely translated into English could be replaced by the word :

"consciousness".

Obviously, Thought is verily

"The natural intelligence".

And "Thought" can never transcend it's own frontiers :

"THE KNOWN".

While wisdom is but a flash of intelligence, it is ever so conditioned / made into a slave by "THOUGHT", that it rarely manifests in its genuine form.

All our latest research is prompted and prodded by "THOUGHT".

I often remember how

मुण्डकोपनिषद्

deals with this in terms of :

परा विद्या

and,

अपरा विद्या .

Then  Gita (श्रीमदभगवद्गीता)

Tells unequivocally :

--

Still I wonder, deeply feel and anxious where we are heading towards. I sincerely admit, I have no any solution for the present day predicament the mankind has been caught into.

The One

There is The One,

Without The Other,

A Self alone,

Knows The Self,

For, knowing is a fact,

No one can refute,

Nor deny.

For, Knowing is the evidence,

Of Being.

But Being Itself,

Or, rather the Self alone,

Is verily, The Self only.

Because if It is not Self,

Then It is 'other than Self'

Which is contrary to,

The axiom:

"The Self alone Is."

The Self has neither a beginning,

Nor an end.

All beginning and end happen,

In Time,

While Time is,

The Eternal Now,

Timelessly.

Like a hole in the space,

That is Spatial,

Yet beyond space.

Call it Black Hole,

Or the Stark White Reality.

Still It Is neither One,

Nor Two or Zero,

For,  in the absence of 'The Other',

One,  Two,  Zero are just absurd.

The Identity (poetry)

Letting go the past,

Needs letting go the memory,

Letting go the memory,

Needs letting go the recognition,

Letting go the recognition,

Needs letting go the time,

Letting go the time,

Needs letting go the identification.

But letting go the identification,

Is not letting go the identity,

For the identity could never be let gone!

Artificial Intelligence

A.I. and the Dharma.

---------------©---------------

The advanced science tries to explain the manifestation in terms of cause and effect.

Nice.

So we are supposed to find out or discover why an epidemic like Corona or Plague takes place.

The scientist discovers the virus that is responsible for that particular kind of disease.

Well.

But then does the scientist try to find out why at all this virus was born or possibly created in some laboratory?

Sanatana Dharma candidly points out that this is because of Adharma only.

Adharma is simply the behavior contrary to the natural course of life.

Just as every action results in an equal and opposite reaction, whatever that is done contrary to the rule and course of the nature (Dharma) results in a reaction that cancells out or reconciles this action Adharma).

It may be pointed out that fear and greed are not in harmony with the course of nature.

Fear and greed may be an animal response because of in-built inherent self-defence mechanism, and are only of precautionary value.

Except the man, all the other beings and creatures, sentient and insentient, strictly follow and obey the laws of nature (Dharma) and are not carried by "thought", that is the prerogative of the evolved kind of animals like human beings.

"Thought" is no doubt a great tool in making the life more happy and comfortable also.

But the individual (as well as the collective) greed and fear, is the very personal  tendency that enslaves this faculty of "thought" and the logic / reasoning of us.

Therefore there are wars at the level of the  personal and the collective existence.

There is the way of life that is apathetic to the nature as a whole and the man exploits the nature with the utmost cruelty.

To compensate the balance of natural order, there is why a virus is born.

The virus is quite a living and alive being /  organism.

It has an intelligence of its own.

That is quite different than the Artificial Intelligence possessed by man.

The Artificial Intelligence that is a result of ignorance of the natural order (Dharma), and this AI is never capable of facing the challenge posed by the virus.

The virus can go on mutating endlessly.

Only when the man becomes intelligent enough so as to see and realize what went wrong in this so-called progress and development of humankind, and how the  Adharma took hold in consciousness, he can shun the same, and restore the natural order (Dharma) of all the things together.

The only relevant question is :

Are we ready and prepared to take up the cudgel?

Or, we are going to cry over the split milk, running hither and thither in fear, anxiety, trepidation, agony and depression...?

That too is a possibility imminent.

Who Is I?

The body has its destiny,

The mind has its own,

But in Consciousness,

Both the two are known.

The knower is not the body,

The body is not the knower,

The knower is not the mind,

The mind is not the knower,

The body, the mind, the individual,

Have no sight, to say, -of their own,

But appear, disapper in the Light,

Wherein they are always known.

The body was born, will die too sure,

The mind is movement, is but caught,

In that Light where they are are thought,

The two appear and disappear together.

In the absence of one, the other is never.

The Consciousness the light is the support,

Where the two are ever, latent or manifest.

The Light, Steady, Unbroken, and Timeless,

Reveals them and their time and space.

When the Attention is broght upon there,

The body-mind, and time-space disappear.

Yet shines, in the Heart, the Light Radiant,

Within and without, Luminous, Self-Radiant.

The Eternal presence, is its Evidence own,

For, Who else is there, to say Ihave known!
