~~~ Happy New Year ~~~
Dark was the Space,
And dark the heart of the man.
The darkness enveloped the sky,
And covered-up the place.
And in that silent moment,
When the time was frozen like a hard rock,
When the darkness impenetrable,
Engulfed everything in it's fold,
The Light stirred,
And God emanated in his heart,
A Newly-Born Baby,
A delicate ray of hope,
And All of a sudden,
Everything woke-up,
From the long-long sleep,
Which was but another name of Death.
And There was Light,
There was Life.
~~Who is your Guru?"~~
~~~~~"Who is your Guru ?"~~~~~

(A letter to a friend ,
Also in "Notes" in facebook)
Dear Friend,
This has reference to our yesterday's chat.
You started with the question;
"Who is your Guru"
I was not prepared for this invalid question.
Even then, I replied to this embarrasing question.
"He is one, He is many."
-I said.
You insisted that one needs a Guru.
I don't know what do you mean by this.
In fact I had never a Guru in the traditional /
orthodox way. I had Teachers that taught me
about the worldly knowledge. That is 'relative',
information-rooted. a store-house of information,
which is not the wisdom. And not at least the
'self-knowledge.'
I studied scriptures, and fortunately, I didn't go
to any traditional Acharya or Guru, who could
have perhaps confused me . I tried to find-out :
what do I want, how my mind works, how the
emotions, concepts, thoughts, etc. narrow my
understanding of myself.
I did several 'sadhanas' like 'Japa', 'puja', and you
know they are time-consuming. I learnt Sanskrit,
and love this language.
But my seeking came to an end when I tried to
understand the teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi,
and started the 'self-enquiry', according to that
understanding.One can say He is my Guru.
But on the physical level He entered the
Mahasamadhi in the year 1953, and I was born
in 1953. So, I didn't see Him in person.
What a coincidence !
It is His Janma-Jayanti Today, and I'm paying
homage to Him.
I am Grateful to you, who gave me such a golden
opportunity,.....
So in my view,
He is my Guru.
Then I tried to understand the Teachings of
Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj,
And followed His way, simple,
"Abide as 'the Self'."
I was also studying various scriptures and
J.Krishnamurti always attracted me.
Whenever I took his book in my hand, my
mind became a silence, and I could easily
sense that He IS my Guru.
I studied SriDakshinamurti Stotram,
VivekaChoodamani, and several other
Classics, Upanishads, and discovered a
common chord between their Teachings.
So about the Guru, I said to myself;
"He is One, He is Many."
I don't want to go in details, but hope
now you may look at the things in a
different way,
Warm and affectionate Regards,
Sincerely,
...

Clocks, clocks on the wall,
Here, there, everywhere,
Trying to shape,
Configure,
Custom,
Design,
You,
Making you into their own pattern,
A slave of time,
And a piece of history,
And you run fast,
To meet the second,
But never become the 'First',
To secure your place in history !
To meet the 'dead'-line !
And afterwards,
Just to be tossed into the garbage-bin,
Of the past,
O Spirit indomitable !
Wake-up to your Glory,
Break-up with the time,
Make-up your Grandeur,
Take-up the cudgles,
Let the 'Salvador Dali' in you,
Spring-up and flash-forth,
Rule over the time,
O Man of the Destiny !!

Just as the pure biological instincts,
'thinking' also becomes an involuntary functioning.
A habit, or even an obsession .
And in the same way,
the notions of 'me',
'a past',
'a future',
'a present',
'time',
'space',
'birth',
'death',
'Enlightenment',
'Hope', and fear of the 'unknown',
For the 'unknown' we know, is the idea,
-of the 'unknown' !
Hope and Fear of them all,
Assume reality,
'Faiths' of all kinds,
Sense of insecurity,
'Desire',
'Planning',
'Pervertions'
'Morality',
And Ethics',
Have their origin there.
This all phenomena controls, motivates,
And dictates the collective human behaviour,
Politics,
Society,
Culture,
Theology,
Art, Literature,
And the all important spheres of human Evolution.
Summarily the Whole history of the mankind.
And the same is true,
For the abnormal behavior of any kind,
Be it occult, mystic, and esoteric experiences.
And compulsions.
Their impermanence is the proof of their falsehood.
But their recurrence can not be ruled-out.
-Until this whole pattern is clearly seen,
And the mind becomes free of being slave to them.

The restless fish,
Ever wondering in the waters,
Ever moving,
In search of water,
Like the inquisitive mind of the man,
Always trying to seek the Truth,
The Reality,
But calling it,
Peace, success, fame,
Wealth, health, name,
Love, pleasure, or game,
Like the fish,
-Incessantly !!

Rowing,
In a Placid,
Tranquil Lake,
Along-with a close-friend,
In a boat,
When the Winds too are cooling-down,
Turning into a slight Breeze,
And the waves drawing a Still,
The Boat too mooves into a very Slow,
Sleeky Silence,
It takes you on no shore,
Of This world,
But somewhere ,
Beyond,
Very far away from this turbulent world,
Afar,
In a Distant Realm,
Along-with a close Friend.

(My facebook notes)
What a strange thing,
One believes so many things,
About The God,
About the world,
About heaven and hell,
About spirits, devil and Ghosts,
About history, psychology and religion,
About the ESP and UFOs,
Plus ...., ....,....so many things.
But so far as his own being is concerned,
He remains always in dark,
Though self is ever so evident,
The spontaneous, prime light,
That illuminates each and every source of Light,
Be it The Sun, The Moon, or The Stars,
For only after flashing-up up of the light of awareness,
Of one-self, in one-self.
One becomes aware of their light or existence.
And no-one, even in his wildest dreams,
Can deny or disprove one's existence.
And that will be simply ridiculous, absurd also.
But even more strange thing is the fact,
That it never occurs to him,
If he knows or not oneself.
And what it means to know oneself.
And it is true,
The self is so very close,
Far from the farthest,
And closer from the nearest,
Because in self alone,
Arises the awareness of far,
And of the near,
How it is possible that awareness of self
Can arise,
In the the self ?
For the self is itself awareness.
Yet man hardly looks at the self,
In this way.
Isn't it incredible ?

You never seen, never heard, never touched,

I invoke you in my tears,
my loneliness look for your hand.
I caress you with my silence
I love you in my absence.

When scars scare,
One turns a blind eye to them,
One may live in forgetful oblivion,
About them for long,
And think they are nowhere,
Left for good.
Just because they are visible,
-No more.
But they seethe within,
In the cauldron of heart,
Unnoticed,
Giving way to,
deep-rooted agonies, anxieties,
And traumas,
Until one day,
They explode,
But it is too late,
To be complacent,
To wait for that day,
the D-day.

Sometimes,
Paper tries to imitate flowers,
In the form of decoration-things,
But the secret can't hide,
For long.
While on some other times,
Flowers too imitate,
The life-less things like paper,
And lo !
They steal all the charm,
And beauty of the existence.
And show-up with pride !!

Scars stay,
To revive,

In the next seasons,

That looked to be dried away,
And withered,
Like the autumn leaves.
Yes,
Scars stay,
Scars say,
Live every-time a new life,
Let the wounds lost,
Let the new leaves spring-up,
In the new springs,
Scars say,
......
Scars stay, to remind you.

In a split Second.
~~~~In A Split Second~~~~
When Shiva meditates,
Nothing stirs.
Everything is enveloped in deep silence,
A beatific peace prevails all over.
And one,
Who can neither behold,
Nor withstand such a splendor,
Says,
''Wow...!''
heaves a sigh,
And lo !
The delicate fragrant sigh,
Full of amour, cupidity,
Falls-down,
Like a ... leaf,
Like a flower,
Onto the head of Shiva,
Disturbs His attention,
The lustful fragrance hits His heart,
Piercing it like a sharp arrow.
In a split second,
As if prompted by
Automatic Divine action,
Shiva's third eye Opens-up,
And the sigh is lost,
Like a tiny drop of fuel,
In the flame of Shiva's attention,
Shiva has returned to His tranquil Calm
Poised in Deep Silence,
Where nothing stirs,
Only the Vibrant Peace resumes,
Again after this infinitely brief mo,
Pervades everywhere.
Thought and Awareness of Thought.
~~Thought and Awareness of Thought~~
_______________________________
*******************************
Keep your observation alert, because there
are thoughts which though look very logical,
quite rational, but in fact deny truth,reality,
and the life itself. Thoughts as a rule, corrode
the sensitivity, distort your sensibility, and
influence your consciousness, they condition
you to fit into some specific behavior pattern,
to conform to the groove, that is society, family,
nationalism, ideals, religion, tradition, discipline,
virtue, and sacrifice. Narrow-down your vision
and obstruct the clear view of truth, the 'fact',
which is otherwise bare before us. Only a mind
that is alert, attentive to the 'fact' and free of
'thought', free of verbal interpretation, or its
justification in any way, understands the nature
of thought, sees how thought modifies our way of
observation, while it is the observation of life
with naked eyes, that should lead one to the right
way of thinking.Thought always aims at achieving
some goal, 'somewhere' in 'future', and the future
is again projected by itself. And, projecting an
imagined 'future', Thought defines and proposes
to achieve that 'future', which is never a reality,
through a particular course of action, which
ignores all causes and reasons that help in
happening of anything. So, thought is always
political. Always divisive. It divides the human
consciousness in 'faiths', concepts, beliefs, '-isms',
nationalities, which are but a sophisticated form
of tribalism. It denies the present, imposes an
imagination over it, and makes one strive for
that imagination, which is a figment of thought
only. It can expand to monstrous proportions,
and makes you believe that you are some great
soul, perhaps an 'avatar',which is in fact a great
illusion only, you have been caught by thought
only.Thought gives rise to faiths, beliefs, dogmas,
In anticipation of some future heaven, release,
'Moksha', redemption, a better next birth after
death. And one doubts, if thought could ever know
the death ! It is deterioration ad infinitum.
It is not Thought, but sheer thoughtlessness.
Then there is another kind of Thought which is
thoughtful, mindful, careful, attentive, polite, but
never political. Because that would be a paradox in
itself.It has no aims to achieve.It has no future. It
lives in the 'now', and is deathless.
If I know, how thought binds me with beliefs,
faiths, fears, anticipations and imaginary hopes,
I will never fall a prey to thought. I will never be
caught into its chains. Then I will see very clearly,
how thought deceives me in the lure of such things,
how incites me to be prepared for the 'Supreme
Sacrifices', and kill my brethren, in the name of cult,
religion, country, race.
If I am thoughtful, mindful about the cunningness
oddities, obstinacy, obtuseness and acuteness of
Thought, I will use it as a technical instrument,
analytically.
It can not and will not intrude my understanding
of myself as a simple human being.
This is the creative aspect of thought, when it is
a tool in the hands of understanding.
The Paradox
*~*~The Paradox.~*~*
_______________________________
*******************************
Many a slaves,
Many a selves,
In Search of the Their Lord,
Utterly failed,
Bitterly frustrated,
Coined-out,
A Lord,
Out of their own,
Own collective imagination,
And their own 'Free-will'.
This Lord Himself was,
A slave to their whims,
Hardly could they realize,
In their new-found euphoria,
That this Lord was their own creation,
Their own brain-child.
But they bowed before Him,
And He too derived,
A subtle pleasure,
A gratification indeed,
An apparent Existence
Of His own,
Independent of them.
He too was amused,
And bemused,
By the idea,
Of being a Lord of them all.
And it never occurred to Him,
That He was not the Master,
But only a slave,
Of His own slaves !!
They all joined each other,
On a Sacred Journey,
To Find out the 'Truth';
The 'One' Super-Lord,
Of them all.
It was nevertheless,
A fascinating, Captivating journey,
The 'Pilgrimage'.
The cavalcade proceeded,
The journey is never-ending.
The joy of it keeps them busy,
And they are marching past,
Swiftly,
Marching ahead,
On and On.
And The God just laughs at them,
Occasionally cries or wails to,
Over their misfortune.
Many a slaves,
Many a selves,
In Search of the Their Lord,
Utterly failed,
Bitterly frustrated,
Coined-out,
A Lord,
Out of their own,
Own collective imagination,
And their own 'Free-will'.
This Lord Himself was,
A slave to their whims,
Hardly could they realize,
In their new-found euphoria,
That this Lord was their own creation,
Their own brain-child.
But they bowed before Him,
And He too derived,
A subtle pleasure,
A gratification indeed,
An apparent Existence
Of His own,
Independent of them.
He too was amused,
And bemused,
By the idea,
Of being a Lord of them all.
And it never occurred to Him,
That He was not the Master,
But only a slave,
Of His own slaves !!
They all joined each other,
On a Sacred Journey,
To Find out the 'Truth';
The 'One' Super-Lord,
Of them all.
It was nevertheless,
A fascinating, Captivating journey,
The 'Pilgrimage'.
The cavalcade proceeded,
The journey is never-ending.
The joy of it keeps them busy,
And they are marching past,
Swiftly,
Marching ahead,
On and On.
And The God just laughs at them,
Occasionally cries or wails to,
Over their misfortune.
