Atithi (Guest) !!

~~~~~~~~Atithi (Guest)~~~~~~
***************************
Every Evening,
I go for a long walk.
And before returning,
Sit for a while in the park.
Adjacent to the temple,
-In the third street.
Where I saw you,
-My Friend,
We met each-other,
Some day.
For the first time,
-2 years ago.
Something brought us near each-other.
But we had no commitments.
We just liked each-other.
Certainly,
It was not a 'Romance' !!
We became nice friends,
But strange,
We never invited one-another,
To our home !
The days have gone,
The seasons came-in and left,
Sometimes I remember you,
Sometimes I feel,
You are there,
Some-where around.
And suddenly,
I shall be going to catch your sight.
I know, it's my dream,
An imagination only,
And I get-up from the bench,
Where we shared our conversations,
Where we met without compulsions,
And commitments.
and the matters of very personal life,
Though,
Neither you,
Nor me interfered in our fates.
Neither you of mine !
Nor I, of yours !
But we kept chatting,
-in silence,
Watching the children play, love and quarrel.
again and again,
Today I noted-down,
-wrote-down,
This,
-in my diary.
Cause,
I'm leaving this place today,
And may be, meet you sometimes again,
There once more,
Through the memory-lane,
-through my diary,
---
Atithi !!
Thanks Alicia,
Atithi may be a name, but in Hindi and Sanskrit,
it means;
-A Guest,
We say : Atithi Devo Bhava:
The Guest is God.
In other words,
God may visit someday as Guest, and you may not know.
So don't leave it to chance.
Be prepared and ready !
Because God is one, and might be visiting every devotee and
even non-devotee, because (S)He has to look after all beings.
In my life, God came in such a way, as described in the poem.
Not literally, but like-wise, and I didn't fail in recognizing
Him / Her.
So metaphorically I narrated His / Her visit in this poem.
