Do Nothing!
(Ruport Spira?)
Since the world Knew of Gita, there have been many a heavy weight champions as the experts on this Great Sanskrit Text.
Recently, referring to one such an expert a friend sought my opinion.
I really never have an opinion about any one howsoever reputed and well known.
As we all know there're umpteen number of commentaries on this extra-ordinary text. I find myself no-where standing in their comparision.
But I do remember the following verses : Chapter 2 verse 9
Chapter 18 verse 59
And one from :
Chapter 12 verse 12
In addition I would cite the last verse as in the
Chapter 18, verse 14 and 15
In addition, the following verse of the
Chapter 3 suggests
All these verses point out one is never free to do or not to do anything. No one has control over all The action, whatever that happens or happens not.
The idea of performing any action, out of one's free will is therefore a misleading notion and illusion.
