India that is भारत
--
I have always insisted that the word 'Hindu' has been a cognate of 'Indu' which in Sanskrit means Moon. Still we have been lead into believing that the word has origin in 'Sindhu'. 'Sindhu' in Sanskrit means the sea / ocean, and the river Sindhu / सिंधु though mentioned in Veda, also bears this name because it has a vast width like sea, the word 'Hindu' is how they (Chinese) knew from 'Indu'.
Dr Subramanian Swami has finally arrived at a similar conclusion, though he could not explain how and where 'Hindu' was described as such in some old books.
This is how I see India goes perfectly well with 'Bharat'
