पूषन्नेकर्षे यम सूर्य प्राजा-

पत्य व्यूह रश्मीन् समूह ।

तेजो यत्ते रूपं कल्याणतमं तत्ते पश्यमि 

योऽसावसौ पुरुषः सोऽहमस्मि ॥*

O Sun,

As "PooShan",

You nourish the whole existence,

With Life and Light,

Gross and subtle,

World, Body and mind,

As "Eka-RShi"

Our Intellects and Hearts,

And Intelligence Supreme.

Where-in What You Are,

I Am That,

As "Yama",

You control our lives and death.

As "Prajapati",

You Create our "World" and us.

I See Your Glory in all these ways.

Where-by You always shower,

Your Grace in various ways.

And Because I see,

What You Are,

I Am That,

We Are But One Reality,

The "PuruSha",

What He (The "puruSha") is,

I Am That.

O God !

Withdraw Your Rays Within,

And Let My being merge in You !

I pray O Sun !
