When The Hour comes,
The Earth stops,
Rotating around it's axis,
No one knows for how long,
Lasts the new hour,
Till it resumes it's rotation again.
No one knows what will happen,
In that un-earthly hour.
If the sky falls split over the Earth,
Or the Earth tears open itself,
Causing the volcanoes erupt,
Or the tectonic-plates shift,
Letting loose the Tsunamies and quakes,
In that 25th hour,
You can do nothing but pray,
Now and Here,
Before the arrival of that hour,
Let us pray,for yourself and for your dear-ones...
Because that hour is waiting there round the corner,
And the corner is hidden in the Now and Here.

यदा चित्तवृत्तिनिरोधः,।
तदा दृष्टुः स्वरूपेऽवस्थानम् ॥
कदा?
यदा दृष्टिः स्वरूपे अवस्थाति ।
यदा वृत्तयः ’अहं’-वृत्तौ विलीय,
’अहं’वृत्तिः अपि ’अहमि’ वा आत्मनि लीयते ।
तदा दृष्टुः स्वरूपे ’अवस्थानम्’ ॥
पुनरपि, यदा दृष्टुः स्वरूपेऽवस्थानम् तदैव
आत्मानम् विन्देत् ॥
इतरत्र वृत्तिसारूप्यम् ।
वृत्तयः पञ्चतय्यः,....क्लिष्टाक्लिष्टाः,..
(क्लिष्टाः-अक्लिष्टा: च),..
प्रमाण, विपर्यय, विकल्प, निद्रा, स्मृतय़ः ।


When the 'consciousness' (Citta) is in the form of a 'Vrutti',
i.e. in a 'thought-form',identification with the 'Vrutti' takes
place.This 'thought' or 'mind' is not just the word-structure,
a verbal-one, but is of the nature of any-one of the 
following five kinds,
'PramaaNa'  -'evidence by perception, through senses,
-physical like sense-organs, or mental according to the faculty
of the inner organ, (antahakaraNa), or The  evidence of the
Veda / Rshi. (Aapt-PramaaNa), The One who has 'seen'  the Truth.',
'Viparyaya,'  -erroneous perception.
'Vikalpa',  -alternative notion.
'Nidraa',  -deep 'thoughtless' sleep-state.
and,
'Smriti',  -memory.
'The 'I'-Thought is a special case of it's own kind, because all other
thoughts are strung upon it, just as the beads are strung upon a
thread that make a garland (Mala).
Every other thought needs the 'I'-thought as the basis for it's
existence. And yet,at the same time, it is also to be noted that
'I'-thought does not exist independent, apart from a thought.
(Vrutti).
So examining the nature of 'Thought' takes one to 'I'-Thought',
and the 'I'-thought itself has it's foundation in 'consciousness'
(Cit), where-as thought belongs to the 'mind' (Chitta), and  'mind'
/ chitta can not exist independent of the 'I'-thought.
In this way, 'self-enquiry' leads to 'Cit'/ Consciousness, 'Awareness'
(Noumenon) which is the only substratum of the chitta /'mind'. and
the 'phenomenon' perceived by 'a mind'.

Let me wait,

For the right answer,

Let the thought drop,

And let me know definitely,

Though may not be able to convey,...!

तेजो यत्ते रूपं कल्याणतमं तत्ते पश्यमि

O Sun,

As "PooShan",

You nourish the whole existence,

With Life and Light,

Gross and subtle,

World, Body and mind,

As "Eka-RShi"

Our Intellects and Hearts,

And Intelligence Supreme.

Where-in What You Are,

I Am That,

As "Yama",

You control our lives and death.

As "Prajapati",

You Create our "World" and us.

I See Your Glory in all these ways.

Where-by You always shower,

Your Grace in various ways.

And Because I see,

What You Are,

I Am That,

We Are But One Reality,

The "PuruSha",

What He (The "puruSha") is,

I Am That.

O God !

Withdraw Your Rays Within,

And Let My being merge in You !

Just before sending a Tsunami,
The shock-waves,
That call for your attention,
The seismic-waves,
That knpck at the door,
In serial sequential strokes,
In so many jerks and jolts,
Mild and strong,
And just before sending a calamity,
At the personal, collective, 
Or at the global level,
Life, and the Love,
At the cost of sacrifice of a few lives,
To save the innumerable ones,
In It's mercy, in It's Compassion,
In an effort to avert,
The far greater calamities,
Imposing dangers,
Calls for your attention,
In It's own ways,
In It's own jargon,
Knock at the door of human understanding,
In multiple strokes,
Challenging the wisdom of the Man,
Trying to evoke out an appropriate,
Right responce from the Man,
To wake-up Him,
From His cosy, frenzied, luxerient escapades,
In His dream-worlds of 'Thought',
Forgetful of the existence of the impending perils,
Lost in wishful, sensuous, charming,
-philosophies, 'isms', and 'ideals',
'Objectives', and 'Aims',
Fanciful 'Achievements',
When we are aware,
We wake-up,
To the whole existence,
Around and within us.
When we wake-up,
We become sensitive to the troubles,
And joys of being.
And if we are not lost in 'Thought',
Nor taken over by the fear and the greed,
And not drugged by the thought of the future,
But keep vigil of,
What keeps us in misery and worry,
When we don't care anymore for,
Enhancing our joys and escaping the troubles,
The mind remains silent, yet watchful,
And is free of 'Thought',
That projects imaginary landscapes of the 'Future',
Or revels in the dreams of the imagined past.
That are just the figments of whim,
Alert, Careful, Cautious,
-About the 'Thought',
That sedates us and leads to the oblivion,
Of the Existence,
That is within and around us.
But nevera concept or an 'ism',
Never an 'Ideal' or 'Goal',
Or, 'Philosophical', 'Religious',
'Traditional ', 'psychological',
'Ethical' or moral asylums of any kind.
For when there is no scope for fear and doubt,
Of, or about the 'Present',
The 'me' just disappears,
And along-with go away,
It's anxieties, agonies, false ecstacies, 
Confusions,....
And the Life and Love comes to the fore,
Then you can't pray to a 'God' ,
Somewhere up, there in the sky,
Beyond the clouds,
That keeps the strings of existence pulling.
And can do away our problems of,
   living and dying.
And neither you hope,
 For you fear not,
For you are just awakened.
And the awakening becomes the prayer,
And the Intelligence,
The Power, to meet the challenge,
To give an appropriate,
Right response to Life,
In the nick of this moment,
In the right action,
That is Love of Being,
And is the ending of misery.

O believer !

O sceptic !!

What depends on the 'causes' known,

Becomes the faith and the belief,

And what lies beyond the 'ken'

Is said to be the 'cause' unknown.

If you believe such a 'Cause',

Give the 'miracle' a brief pause,

Think a bit and give a pause,

Isn't the belief or the doubt,

A miracle ?

-just give it your silent thought !!
